Hi all! Im going in tomorrow for PRP/stem cell procedure.
I insisted on MRI'S about 8 weeks ago and they found 2 bulging discs and a herniated disc....no wonder i haven't felt well since my car accident 7 mos ago
The procedure is under general anesthesia...about 30 min. They said my pain will peak on day 3 and then i will feel pretty good in 2 weeks, with a full 6 months for it to take affect. I can't take any anti-inflammatory for 2 weeks, including ice....they want the inflammation, so the body's immune system kicks in. Im so excited to feel good again! This procedure has an 80% chance of success. The PRP is my own blood, that they seperate...red cells, white cells, platelets....then they inject the white and platelet back in with stem cells from amnio fluid from placenta of woman who had a c-section. There are basically no side affects, because i won't reject my own blood or get an infection from my own blood. All this regenerative medicine is so cool...and I've learned a lot about it in a short time. This procedure is what Peyton Manning had done on his neck after the Colts let him go and before Broncos got him. They said he wouldn't play ball again. Then he broke record after record and took Broncos to win a Superbowl. Anyway, I'm just in awe how God created our bodies to fix themselves. Please pray that the procedure works for me and takes away my pain. I'm only doing the bulge on L4 low back now....C5 neck will be later in 2018 after tax season

Lord, please guide the doctors hands to do an excellent job with the procedure. Let it go perfectly as planned and let TKs healing be so quick. Please help her to feel no pain and recover quickly. Hold her under your wing in all of it because she is your child that you love. Amen

Hi....I'm doing ok....a lot of pain on day 1....i knew there would be, but still more than i expected. They gave me fentanyl at surgery center when i left for pain. Really messed my head...i felt loopy, almost drunk-like. That lasted 24 hours. They want the inflammation, because it will actually help the body heal....They said the more i hurt the better the outcome. I got 5 shots....from about 30 oz of my blood...it's just so amazing. My family has been right here helping me. Dana actually left town to visit his brother, the morning of my surgery. He acts so distant sometimes. He sent 1 text yesterday. I'll be honest, it hurts that he wasn't here for me, again. Anyway, i know God is healing many different parts of my life and that encourages me every day. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes!

I'll keep praying for your healing, TK!
Dear God, thank you for the gift of this community we have here, and thank you for TK's presence here with us. Thank you for her life and for all the blessings you work in it each and every day. We ask that you please lift our sister up and continue working in her life. I know you don't start anything that you don't plan to finish Lord, and I praise your great name for that. All of us are in pain of some kind and we are leaning into you as our great healer. I know that is true for TK too. Therefore my Lord I pray that you will continue your healing work in her body and her heart. Help her feel your comforting presence over and around her pain please Lord and give her the strength to keep her eyes fixed on you. I ask you also God to please continue working in Dana's heart, to soften it and give him a heart of flesh instead of this heart of stone. May your words continue arriving to him in whatever means you deem best, Lord. And may your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. All this I pray in Jesus' name and in everlasting trust in you. Amen.
