Hello everyone.
Lately G has been more open with me about how he is feeling. One type of thing he has said several times is "What is the purpose of marriage?" "I don't even get why marriage exists." "All marriage is is a piece of paper." etc.
I have felt this burden on my heart like I have to define marriage for him and convince him that my biblically-based definition is the truth, and that if he doesn't accept that and start to believe it, then I've failed.
Wait, whaaaaaat? I was thinking this today and sent him some images and a long text about it, and then caught myself. It is NOT my job to convince this man of anything!!! That is up to GOD...
1 Peter 3:1-2 says: "Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won WITHOUT A WORD by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct."
So today I've been reminded to MODEL behavior rather than PREACHING it. By any means, if I keep talking about what I believe, he's eventually going to start tuning me out again. Let's remember as a group to lean on God more, to trust in the work He is doing, rather than leaning on our plans and ideas of how this whole thing should be done. His plans are better than ours, 100% of the time.
I continue lifting you all up in prayer <3

Oh my gosh Adrienne. This is from God for sure. When I was upset last night, I wrote this blog and what you said here is so close to what I wrote it's almost scary. standingforsalvation.wordpress.com/2017/10/23/when-i-dont-trust-him/Time for me to start enjoying my life and enjoying my time with the Lord instead of just grinding and toiling. Thank you for this reminder sister. God is in control and the best thing I can do is sit back and enjoy the ride!
