2 weekends ago, i woke up on a Friday morning, ready to go out and play. I called some cabins in Estes Park to see if available for 2 nights....i couldn't believe it, but yes....it was the weekend of the eclipse. So i ran around all morning getting packed, went food shopping. I had my grand girls for 2 nights (my daughter's anniversary) so i thought i would surprise them by picking them up at their bus stops and head out (my daughter got them packed and ready). Meanwhile Dana was planning a trip to his sisters property in Wyoming to watch the eclipse. I invited him to Estes, on the way up, fully expecting him to say no, but he said yes! He came up Sat and we just had a ball with the girls...horseback riding, ice cream, shopping, fun park! A great weekend.
Then....
Our 19th wedding anniversary was this past Monday.....Dana came by early on his way to work and gave me a present....a beautiful little tiny hand-blown glass elephant ( i collect elephants, rabbits, birds). It was from a glass factory we took the girl's to in Estes the weekend before! I'm just in awe that god put it in Dana's heart to buy it! And also in awe that he put it in Dana's heart to give me an anniversary gift.
Then around 5:15 Dana sends me a text and invites me to dinner. I only had 45 min to get ready...but i was! It was a great evening.
Dana comes by a lot lately (showing up without a reservation...i call it)...he helps with little things....its so nice to see his heart changing. God is good.
On a different note, i was released fom physical therapy last week....so that's a plus! I can't even begin to tell you how time consuming the aftermath of my wreck has been....scheduling, paperwork, driving.
