So my pastor told this story this morning.
An old farmer went to a department store and was talking to one of the salesmen about how he was chopping wood all day long, and the salesman told him,"Sir, if you buy this new chainsaw it will let you chop four times as much wood in the same time!" So, the farmer decided to buy it, but told him, "If this doesn't make it faster, then I will be bringing it back."
A day or two goes by, and the front window to the store is broken by a chainsaw, and in comes the farmer, as mad as can be. He said to the salesman, "I should punch you in the mouth! This thing didn't even chop a quarter of what I could do with my axe..."
The salesman stops him and says, "Sir, let's not do that. Give me a moment to take a look at it." He takes the pull cord in hand and gives it a yank, and the chainsaw starts up on the first pull.
About that time, the farmer jumps back and screams, "What is that?"
Pastor went on to say, salvation is like that chainsaw. Getting saved isn't all of it, there are other aspects that you can only realize once you know how it works.
God loved you, when you were a sinner, and he loves you now you are saved and wants to work in your life, if you will just turn to him and ask, seek, and knock.
