This restoration thing. This isn't Hollywood. It's not a sudden moment of spontaneous love and affection and sparks fly and the next scene pops up and we're cuddling on the couch at a wedding smiling and giggling about our own wedding 5 years ago before we fell apart. It is more like "I'm not as mad at you today as I was last year. I don't feel like snooping your computer anymore and I want terribly to trust you so I am choosing to." And on his side "I need you to respect me more. I know I did you dirty but you are doing me dirty by overruling me on everything." And learning to trust and forgive. And learning to be empathetic and loving. But guys how did God even do this?! Cause I'm in this place now where Chris looks different then he did before and I love it. God is so good. He is so amazing and has so much power and love and he can do it!
So my selfish husband is not so selfish anymore. He's been taking care of our kids on his days off. He's been saying thank you to me a lot more. He has been coming to church regularly! He came to church 3 times last month! And last night, he decided he doesn't need a private office in the basement and brought all of his stuff upstairs to my office/war room and we are sharing it now (it's the size of a bedroom so we definitely can share it). And he's giving up his private basement space to be our kids playroom. I'm in shock seriously. He has always insisted on having his own private space. In fact, one of the major things he wanted in the house we bought was his private office in the basement. So this is huge.
