Hello dear friends,
I've been a bit MIA lately, I know, but I thank you for your prayers. The first half of December is always hectic for me as the semester draws to an end.
I wanted to request that you please continue praying for us. Tomorrow we leave to go to Central America for two weeks to stay with G's family over Christmas. It'll only be the second time I've ever gone, and it's where he had his affair (when he went without me). Please pray for our safety, and for this time to strengthen our marriage rather than cause new challenges in it. Things have been a bit rough lately but I'm trying to just find my way back to God and keep my eyes on Him.
I probably won't have internet access much (or maybe not at all) while we're gone, but please know that I will continue praying for each one of you and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I'll be back at the start of January and will write again then.
Much love, God bless you all!

Praying for you sister. Stay safe and don't forget to pray for G every day and trust that God has a plan! Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Thank you everyone for your prayers. I really appreciate them! It was a good trip and we had a lot of great time with G's family and his son. I struggled some with insecurity and fear re: the OW while we were there but I know God was with me giving me strength to handle it. Overall, we only had one ugly fight while we were there, which is pretty good I think considering the stress level of international travel.
We got back earlier this week but things have been chaotic. While we were gone, my grandmother had a pretty serious stroke and my aunt was attacked by two dogs and received some severe injuries. Additionally, school starts back next week and my PhD exams are less than a month away. It seems like the minute we arrived home, we hit the ground running. There are moments that I feel incredibly overwhelmed but I keep getting this wave of a reminder to just keep leaning on God. I'm trying to... I know He is the only one who can help me and my family through all this.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. I pray for you all as well also. I may be a bit quiet over the coming days with everything going on, but I'll keep checking in and praying for you always.

So good to hear the update. I understand the fear of running into the OW. When we fly out to see his family, I am scared of that and when we go to our conventions during the year. But so far God has protected me from those interactions. I know one day I will have to face those situations, but it will be a day when I can behave godly and loving towards those women, instead of hateful and judgmental. God has plans for them too and it's often hard to think of them like that - a fallen child of God. It's easier to see them as the devil. I will be praying for you and all the crazy that's coming up! God has a bigger plan!
