The wife of a friend who I haven't seen, nor talked to in quite some time, messaged me on Facebook yesterday evening. I didn't see it until today and during messaging I asked how they were doing, and she replied, "OK, considering." It was then, I saw her last name was changed, to her maiden name. She said it was too much to explain via text, and asked if she could call me sometime today.
She called on my way home from church, tonight,and told me that my friend had threatened to kill her and then kill himself. She went on to explain that since then he has been arrested twice, and committed for about 2 and a half weeks.
She has a biological son with her first husband, and they adopted 2 children together. There are restraining orders and what not now and she is waiting on the required separation time to proceed with a divorce at this point.
I ask you to pray with me for my friends. He obviously needs help and grace. I haven't spoken to him yet, and am not sure how to bring it up, without possibly triggering something. I ask you to pray for the kids involved. I ask you to pray for God to guide her. That if divorce is the next step, that it be according to God's will.
