Hello dear friends,
I have been away for a few days, out of town presenting at an academic conference. It went really well but today I'm back to the real world and still exhausted from the conference!
I would like to request prayer for my family: my father, stepmother, sister, and brother-in-law were in a car accident earlier this week, while I was away. Praise God that they are all basically okay, but they all received some injuries: my stepmother has a broken sternum and my sister has a concussion.
I want to also ask for prayer for my husband. He is really stressed about money right now as our finances are tight and we've planned a trip to his country over Christmas. I know it could seem bad to be doing a trip when we're tight on money but this is the only way he can see his son, who he hasn't seen since our last visit in April 2015. I asked him if he wanted to go by himself (without me) but he said a very firm NO, that it was either both of us or neither of us - which is a HUGE praise report. I want to hold him up in prayer and be the loving support I know he needs, but at times I get frustrated as our intimacy is almost nonexistent lately and he is often in a bad mood due to his preoccupations.
I also just want to keep praying in connection with all of you for us to continue seeking God out every moment, to continue fixating our eyes and thoughts on Christ and looking to Him as our guide always.
Thanks friends; like I said I haven't been on the app for several days and I'm really busy with school lately but I still continue in prayer for each of you!
