I'll be going to Urgent Care soon. I'm so sick, unlike anything I've had before. About 2 weeks ago I got sick with flu like symptoms. Runny nose, the chills with a slight fever, etc. I took Dayquil and rested and felt good enough to do normal things. From then on it was just a runny nose. Well yesterday I woke up with a swollen sore throat. I drank tea and gargled salt water, took vitamins, and Dayquil then headed to work. By 10:30am I had the chills even though everyone said it wasn't cold. I drank warm water all day but my chills got worse. By the time I went home I was falling asleep at the wheel and still had chills even though it was warm weather in Cali, and I had my sweater on in the car with no A/C. When I got home I took a nap wrapped in a blanket with sweats on and when I woke up I had a headache and my temp was at 103.5 but I wasn't sweaty. I didn't want to have a stroke or seizure so I tried to cool of gradually. All day I was in pain and had a fever of 101-103 until my husband came home with nyquil and tylenol. My temp went down but now my throat is much worse, I'm spitting up blood and am dizzy every time I walk and sometimes feel nausea. Please pray that the doctors figure out what's wrong, that it's nothing serious, and that I'm healed. It came on so quickly, I've never been this sick or concerned about being sick before.

Lord I lift Marissa up to you and ask that you lay your healing hand upon her. Lord I pray that you direct the actions and care of all doctors, nurses and anyone else who will be involved in her care. I pray for quick healing and I pray for complete healing. I pray you stay with her and she is able to feel your presence - Lord your comforting presence. I pray you are with Garrett and direct him with the words and actions that Marissa needs at this time. I ask this in Jesus precious name. Amen

Well they swabbed my throat and said it was a bad case of strep throat due to the fever and the blood. He said I had to get a shot of penicillin before getting a prescription of it so that it will start working right away. I can't get the prescription until tomorrow but my mom gave me the last of their penicillin until tomorrow. I've been praying all day declaring that I'm healed and this will go away but I guess the enemy doesn't want to be because after a few hours my fever started to spike again even though there's no more blood. My throat still really hurts too. I prayed again and took a shower. All this before my 25th birthday on Monday. Something inside of me thinks this isn't a coincidence. Cause a few days ago my husband decided to stop smoking and he's been ok. Once that's kicked it'll be easier for him to stop smoking weed. And he's been praying, really good prayers over me like he use to. Whatever is going on I declare my healing in Jesus name!

So my fever and chills are gone but bow my body doesn't seem to hold anything down. I haven't had anything solid in 2 days. Just broth, tea, and water and even that won't stay in my body. I'm afraid of getting dehydrated. Please continue to pray.

Still praying for you sister. Please make sure you getting lots of rest and just stay on top of those liquids! Thank God though that it was strep throat and that can be fixed! Also Happy Birthday! Were you able to do anything fun today?

Thank you all for the birthday and well wishes. I finally feel better. Since the pharmacy was closed Saturday I couldn't get the meds until sunday. So I got some amoxocilin from my mom but turns out it wasn't strong enough. So Sunday I ended up not being able to hold anything down. I hadn't eaten anything solid in 2 days and everything that was in my stomach wasn't being held down. All day I was sick in the bathroom and we were pretty afraid I would have to go to the hospital since I had been losing all my liquids for 12 hrs at that point. Finally my grandma called, she prayed, and I got my meds and took them. By Sunday evening I was able to hold down liquids and didn't have to go to the hospital. So I was able to enjoy my birthday by laying around and recovering. Thank you all for your prayers it really helped. Everyone said they've never seen strep come on so aggressive before, lucky me lol glad it's over though.
