Mary I know you are worried and I completely understand. Do you feel like the spanking and hitting was harmful to your daughter? If I feel like Chris is being too rough with the kids I'll tell him something like "Chris I feel like that is too hard" I'm not saying don't punish the kids then, just telling him how I feel in this moment. If he isn't harming the kids though, I have often had to put my kids in Gods hands and trust him to take care of them. Chris has spanked our kids before and blocked me from going to comfort them, but I have to trust that God has this, even if I don't feel good about it
