Father, I come to you tonight, leading up to another holiday. I know I, am looking at it as a bitter sweet time, as I feel separated from my family. Lord, I know I have brothers and sisters in similar boats. Father, I ask you to pour out a special blessing on them this holiday weekend. Send them a special word, or sermon, or sign of your steadfast love, and promise for their marriage.
Father, thia holiday is to celebrate this country that we live in, the freedoms that we have, and how we got them. Lord, our nation is turning further and further from as a whole. God, allow us to speak up in our jobs, in our community, and our neighborhood, that we can turn this country around to the pillar that blessed us to begin with. This nation was founded by Christians, looking for the freedom and opportunity to worship you, and follow you. God fearing men and women, upholding liberty, freedoms, and morals based on your word. Father let us turn back to that, and bring this country out into the light again.
Lord, I ask you to bless us, and guide us to vote, your morals, and your candidate, on a local, state, and national level. I ask you to guide us to speak out in proclaiming you to those around us. Father, help me to see the neighbor beside me that could use my help and prayer, instead of focusing only on my storm, on my trials. Father God, bless my brothers and sisters here, that they can ever draw closer to you that they can lean further and further on you. Father, on the Toby Mac CD I have been listening to all the time lately, he has a song about not wanting to be a back seat driver, about wanting to give you total control of his life! Father, I pray we all have the courage, the strength, and the faith to do just that each and every day. Lord, I pray all of this knowing and believing, that it is already done in your will, and at your timing. Thank you, Lord, for blessings undeserved, for mercy unearned, and grace overflowing. Amen.
