A quote by Jackson Browne states
" In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins--not through strength but by perseverance. "
First the definition of Perseverance = continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.
Try to imagine
The "stream" as the flowing Spirit of God continuously moving...its amazing beauty, serenity, and importance can be easily overlooked, ignored, and traveled around if one chooses to do so. It is the life blood which provides to all living things near and that which comes from it.
The "rock(s)" as you, me, our spouses, loved ones and so on...the rocks come in all sizes, shapes and textures. Some rocks move fast along the stream, others move at a slower place, others refuse to move. Some rocks reshape fast, others at a slower place, some look as if unchanged at all... The "stream" does not care how the rock got there, it simply keeps flowing freely down the stream...transforming the rock as the water flows past. The "stream" always wins...
My Brothers & Sisters we are the rocks in the stream...We are in it with our loved ones... Remember that win we experience the blessings, the trials, the smiles and the tears in our stands that Gods flowing "stream" is still working it's just our "rock" is just a bit further down the "stream". Don't give up hope...don't give up faith... Persue, pray, forgive, abide, smile, and most of all Love as our Father in heaven loves each and everyone of us....
