This week my husband is in Cabo with his girlfriend. I've known it's coming and I've been praying so much about it and I've really been ok. I've been praying for God to erase the memory of all the pictures I saw of them on Facebook. I have resisted the urge to go to her Facebook again to 'check up' on them. I've been spending all my time praying, reading devotionals, and watching different sermons.
I logged onto my Facebook this evening and the first post I see is my nephew's wife is at a resort in Cabo with my husband's girlfriend. My nephew and his wife are vacationing in Cabo with my husband (ex by the world's standards) - how messed up is that? My nephew works for the same oil company as my husband, and I called him when I found out about the OW, and he denied that he knew he had a girlfriend. Told me that he never sees or talks to my husband except at work. Of course the OW has me now blocked on FB, but my sister was able to log on and see where the OW checked into the first class lounge with them on Monday morning.
I feel like I've been kicked in the gut again. My nephew, the little baby and little boy I've loved all his life, knew all along about the girlfriend. Even before we separated 3 years ago. If he had just told me, I could have known what I was up against 4 years ago and it would have at least been a fair fight. Instead I spent over three years in la la land thinking my husband is depressed and just can't deal with life. I would have gone to Louisiana and fought for my marriage. I never would have asked for a separation. And it sure wouldn't have gone so long without being addressed. She's had him for almost 4 years without any kind of hassles or interruptions at all. They've now got a pretty solid long time relationship going on.
Right now I just want to throw in the towel. No, I don't want another man in my life, but I'm ready to stop standing...
