This week has been great. I have not been focused at all on Chris and completely on God.
We went to church last night and the sermon was about friendship. The pastor talked about David and Jonathan and how their souls were "knit together". Jonathan's soul loved David's soul as his own. Chris was sitting slightly behind me (we sit at tables so next to but behind me) and I could see him really focusing out of the corner of my eye. I've talked many times about that I love him as deeply as his soul which is why it crushes me to see him be self destructive.
Our pastor talked about having a deeply loving friend like that who cares for your soul. The things he was saying again it was like he was speaking straight to Chris and I about each other. He talked about how even if you have been abandoned and betrayed, Jesus is that friend for you. The pastor started praying and we sang good good father and I heard sniffling behind me and peeked and Chris had his hand over his eyes and was sniffling. I don't know what the pastor said, but something actually moved that rock! I've never seen Chris cry in all the years I have known him, not even when his grandma died. When we stood up to sing, I came next to him to hug him and he pulled me close and held me for a while. Thank you God. I see you doing this when I couldn't.
