Having Hope by Carrie in Texas As you well know, Having Hope is not wishing on a star or crossing your fingers tight, It is not searching your mind aimlessly to try and make things right. Having Hope is not carrying troublesome burdens in your head - wondering what to do, It is not you guessing as to what is right and real and true. Having Hope is not praying to God and asking, “Hey what about Me?” And then assuming the “right” answers occur in a flash instantly. No, Having Hope is much more absolute than all that! Having Hope is walking day-by-day without a road map to guide you, It is waiting, being patient and still, knowing God is there beside you. Having Hope is letting go of the struggle and the need to make your own way, It is prayerfully casting out doubts and fears that paralyze you each day. Having Hope is believing that Jesus has a plan for you that may be different from your own, But, it is also knowing that He never lets you walk alone. The key to Having Hope is simply praying that Jesus reveal His steps for you each and every day, AND EXPECTING Him to answer, in HIS perfect time, and in HIS perfect way.
Inspirations for this writing:
I wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. Psalm 62:5 (NLT) Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. Psalm 37:7 (NLT) I wait expectantly, trusting God to help, for He has promised. Psalm 130:5 (TLB) But Lord, You are my shield, my glory, and my only hope. You alone can lift my head. Psalm 3:3 (TLB) Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NLT)
