Just in time

I have had a stressful weekend, followed up by a rough day today. I worked late Thursday and Friday night, only to get a text message from my wife when I leave work Friday, that she had talked to the lawyers, that if we signed on May 11th and 12th, the divorce would be final June 6th (at least in the courts eyes). I ended up working 12 hours on Saturday, and after church service Sunday I went in and worked another 2.5 - 3 hours. Found out a childhood friend died back home. Today I have been manual labor setting up new office phones, climbing under desks, pulling network cabling. I stay late 2 hours and come home to her ex-husband's car in the drive way...

I am physically and emotionally tired, and I know the enemy is attacking me hard. I sit down and pray for God to use my devotional app's evening devotional to speak to my heart today, to uplift me. And I open it to Romans 8:28!

Thank you, Father! Thank you for this day, for this weekend, for this storm. Allow me to grow closer to you, to learn to lean on you more readily, that you aren't the last choice, the last resort, but rather the first choice, the go to answer! Thank you for opening my eyes. Amen.
