Are any of you interested in prepping for the end times? Do you believe that before the 7 years of tribulation Jesus will come to take us up in the clouds? Or do u think we will go through the 7 years of tribulation?

I feel like we should be "prepping" daily in our regular walk with God, personally. And I admit that I haven't studied this enough specifically... I know we will all go through tribulations in the course of our lives, and the "end times" are supposed to be harder as we get closer (war, famine, mass suffering, etc.). But I thought any true followers were delivered before the "official" period of trials/tribulations. This is something that my church emphasizes heavily (a little too heavily at times, I think)... In my mind I feel like we have to try to live every day like it's our last in terms of how we relate to God.. (I do think I often fail at that though)... But I don't necessarily agree with a fixation on the end times, because we aren't supposed to know when they are... I don't want to try to be good with God in preparation for the second coming and the end times; I want to work on my relationship with Him simply because I love Him and know I need Him every day! Does that make sense? I do believe that there definitely will be a second coming though, for sure- I know not all Christians do.
Anyway, those are my very rambling thoughts!! :-P I'll be interested to see what everyone else thinks!!

I also have not studied this intently buy I've learned that it is unhealthy for myself to live in fear. I avoid mainstream news media and negative thinking... I also agree that I would rather have a relationship with the lord out of a pure heart than out of a motive of fear.

Years ago, I picked up the first 2 books in the "Left Behind" series, and ended up reading all of them very shortly thereafter. I do believe all believers will be part of the rapture, and that those still 'on the fence' will become the church to help lead the remaining humanity to redemption. So, I don't see doomsday prepping of storing food, water, and survival gear as a necessity. God, provided for the Jews in the desert for 40 years. I do believe we are close to the end of days, but I am not completely ready to let go of this world yet. I have family, friends, and a wife that I want to be confident will be in heaven with me when that day comes.

I don't think thoes on the fence will be strong enough spiritually to withstand the tribulation.. They will see their children die & will shout blasphemy at God rather than turn to Him.. Thoes who have a strong realationship with Him will be the only ones who will be strong enough to withstand, I believe..

Also, now days we are so reliant on our grid system... Electricity, food on demand... I want to prep by learning how to live off the land, store things without a fridge, herbal medicine, how to make clothes, etc..

I believe that we will not be "raptured" before the end times. In Mark, Jesus talks about some of the trials we will see as Christians to indicate the end times, so I believe we are going to see a lot of the darkness, before Jesus's return, but that is for good. We Christians have always been asked by God to stand strong through trials so that we can endure and bring others to Christ. I believe it will be our greatest opportunity to lead others to Christ.

Leanna, I completely agree with you. We are not supposed to fear the end times. We as Christians are actually supposed to hope for it. Everything we do on this earth is just an effort to bring others to Christ and to bring ourselves closer to Him. We wait anxiously for the day he returns, because we want to be with him so badly. It's exactly like missing our spouses. We have this longing desire and deep overwhelming love for our Lord. Just like we want our spouses to come home, why wouldn't we want our Lord to return? Yes, the world will be terrifying, but our God has always provided and protected us and He will then too.
