When I got home, I told Chris the kids and I are going to church and asked if he was coming. He said he forgot and rushed to get dressed to come with us! I couldn't believe it! I had prayed the whole way home, that God would give me peace in whatever he decided, but I was going, regardless of what Chris did. I heard a voice telling me that I shouldn't overload him with God, because it's going to push him away, and then another voice telling me that he did not chase God when I was living in the world, so he will do what he wants, regardless of me. It was Satan and God fighting right there in front of me and I just gave it over to God and he delivered! Church was great - more baptisms today and we had some awesome worship time. I asked at one point if he wanted to leave early to get our son, and he said no, that it was almost over. I think that was my favorite part of the night. We even watched some historical Bible show when we got home, which we both really like learning about the history, so it was great that he chose that on his own to watch. Feeling so blessed and I can definitely see him actually pursuing God right now. Thank you God for these blessings and please keep me focused on you! |

I have been spending time with God this morning and he gave me Romans 13:12-14 "The night is so nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature."

Thanks for the prayers guys. It's frustrating how severely back and forth things are with us. As good as things can be in one direction are as crappy as they can be in the other. We discussed budget yesterday, and he told me he hadn't spent any money on his military card during the deployment - he hadn't even used it! Now today, he's discovered he did use it and he spent around $300. I don't think he just forgot that he used it. I'm scared he used it on something he doesn't want me to know about. I'm just going to stay still and have peace though. Please keep praying for us.

Today I wrote in my prayer journal that I wanted Chris to remember my birthday and care about it. I'm bitter still about it, because he was with a girl the night before my birthday last year and he insisted he wasn't, but I have proof that its not true. It was so painful and I wanted to just get through it this year at least without any scratches, but I have in my heart been hoping that Chris would care about it this year. Maybe an hour after I wrote it in my prayer journal, Chris texted me to ask what I want to do for my birthday this year. I was a bit shocked, but there's no way he could have seen what I wrote. God really is just trying to pour out his blessings! I told Chris I was so happy and excited that he cared and he said "you know I care"...maybe he was insulted? I didn't know he cared. Honestly, he never has before and I am so full of joy right now over this.

God revealed more to me today. Chris got home and said he had to send his homework in and I panicked for a minute because he hadn't done homework the whole week. He said no, don't worry that he's already finished it. He just has to submit it. I was so confused and actually had to go see to believe he had already done it. I didn't understand how he got it done when I never saw him working on it. All of a sudden I realized he's been doing homework in the time that I'm at work when he is home alone. He used to spend this time doing his own thing - messing around on the Internet or playing video games. He wouldn't work on homework until I got home with the kids and then we would spend all our time hanging out in his office while he did homework so we could have some time with him. Instead, he's been spending time with me and the kids - taking us out or going to church or bible study with me, or just having family dinner or movie time. I am so overwhelmed right now. God is speaking and Chris is listening...I have never seen this man before. God wasn't joking when he told me he wouldn't be recognizable. I'm already seeing such a vastly different man in front of me. It's coming guys. He's so close to finding God. Thank you God for your goodness.
