Not sure if this has been posted? I think that if we (us & our prodigals) take the quiz it will give insight as to how we are all "hard wired" for love, giving us a better understanding of what we and our spouses interpret as love.
Perhaps what we think we do is showing love, however we may be speaking in a "different language than what is needed.
