My name is Renee. I am in my late 30s. I met my husband when I was 17 and he was 21. We were both very unhealthy. We believed in God but was never introduced to him. I left him for a couple years and we ended up getting back together when I was 20. We had our first son when I was 21, our second son when I was 23 and now have our beautiful 5 year old girl who was truly God's will. Our marriage has been horrible. But 7 years ago exactly this month God drew us to Him. We have been going to church ever since. He has saved our family. All that being sad my husband is still very angry and negative. God has began to do work but too often my husband grabs the reigns and walks in his own strength. All I can do is pray that he allow God to do His work and give Him all control. I know we are all imperfect. Just tonight I began telling my husband that how he is acting and talking is against God and that he will need to answer to Him one day. To say the least he is now not talking to me and says that he does not trust to tell me anything anymore and wants a divorce. All I want is peace in my home. He has brought so much anger and negativity for so many years. I know that I should have but my tongue and just went to God in prayer. War Room taught me that. Anyway. For the most part I find my happiness in the Lord and with my children. Thank you Mary for sharing this app with me and I pray that I can be a blessing.

I'm so glad your getting plugged into this forum with us! I will be praying for you & your husband.
My husband often responds this way, & also has a temper.. So I can sympathize. But let me tell you, God has done AMAZING things within my husband & the Lord is no respecter of man; meaning He has no favorites so what he does in my husband I believe He will do in yours! In Jesus name!

It is so crazy. Well amazing really. How just a few hours I didn't know you and now it feels like you are one of my closest friends. I cannot thank you enough for speaking out and telling me about this group. I to have seen God work in my husband but in the flesh it is taking WAY too many years. I just long for peace in my home.  ? God is always good. |

That's why I love this group!
I think it's just when you get a group of people who love the Lord, & who are all experiencing trials within the most intimate & important human relationship the Lord created (marriage), it just gives us such a understanding & heart for one another.. Because thoes who arnt walking this walk just can't really understand. Even thoes who are supportive.. If they haven't or arnt currently going through this, they just can't relate with us in that way. I believe it's SO important to have other "standers" in your daily life that you can just send a message & they are there to be your family in Christ. It's also good for us when we advise each other because as were advising, it helps to keep our own minds/hearts in check. A couple of ladies from the group have my cell, so they can call or text, too. We need this type of support to get through, for sure.

Renee, welcome! I'm so glad Mary helped you get connected to the group! I know it has been so important to me to have this support. We all know that God is working but it helps to have friends who can sympathize and pray together. We'll all be praying for you now too!!

Renee welcome and so glad you found us! I know the long stand is horrible and hard. This is my 7th year and I was only blessed to join this group last year. I tried so many tactics to convince my husband to go to God and the only thing I have ever seen work is praying and staying out of Gods way. Reacting with love, and especially remembering that my husband is a fallen human who is being tempted and used by the enemy - that really helped me want to fight for him. He is being used and who better then his wife to be Gods tool to help the man.
