My step mom is a Christian scientist.
Basically they look like Christians, but they don't believe in hell, demons, sickness, sin, or satan.. They call our Lord, "mother" & they don't go to him in submission. They don't believe in the blood of the lamb.. Jesus is not prayed to or esteemed any higher than you or me except that God gave Him power to heal the sick. They think if they think somthing hard enough, it will happen.. Basically their minds are their gods.. They don't believe in grace...I believe Christian Science is one of the most frustrating cults because they genuinely bear good fruits on the outside.. It isn't until u get to the inside that you see they are wolves... Reminds me of that scripture about sheep skin on the outside & wolves on the inside.. Anyway, my step mom & I decided not to talk about our beliefs months & months ago. I tend to feel defensive of my Lord, & she tends to push her beliefs on me. But last night she decided to basically attempt to convert my vulnerable & lost husband into her cult. I actually remain really calm throughout most of her babble. I just spoke scripture to a lot of things she said to show Tony truth, & felt the Holy Spirit come onto me & gave word to Tony.. I experienced God take a attack from the enemy & use it for good.. Tony ended up telling me he doesn't know how to accept grace.. He's said this before, but it was months & months ago.. Since then he's become so hardened until yesterday..
I don't remember what I said because it was the Holy Spirit talking through me, but it registered with him. I believe without a doubt that Tony will re-give his life to Christ very soon. Please pray simply for the Lord to continue drawing Tony, & for the Lord to draw my step-mom as well.
