My story

My husband and I grew apart while he was working out of town for two years. He is retired Navy so was always gone a lot, so we thought the time away wouldn't affect us. We drifted apart and we didn't see him much at all the last year. We separated three years ago, at my prompting, because I felt so alone. After our separation God spoke to me to take a stand. I found information/encouragement at the website of Rejoice Marriage Ministries. Last month he filed for divorce and I found out he's been in a relationship since before we separated. Since the separation I have grown so much in my spiritual walk with Jesus, I can look back and appreciate everything God has led me through. I know what God told me, that He would bring my husband back a changed man, so divorce or not, I'm standing till the end! Oh, & last Saturday was our 33 year anniversary. I'd like to encourage all who are married - take advise from someone who has learned some hard & painful lessons, truly give your marriage to God today. Don't wait for a crisis to strike. I always had a great marriage that others envied - but it was built with the hands of my husband and me. We were Christians that attended church regularly, but we never truly made God Lord over our lives and our marriage.
