There was a sister named Annie that was on our group on the Klove app. She stopped getting on there, but her & I text. She is going through the worst time ever right now.. She is full of fear of losing her husband & letting the enemy have full control.. Her husband recently left again & she is so completely broken & isn't really right with the Lord.. She said she wanted me to post on here for prayer for her.. I'm praying this will be what the Lord uses to change her in all the ways He wants to & to draw her in close once again, & that her husband Lucas would finally be drawn by the Father! Thanks everyone

I invited her to fast with me starting today for 3 days, & use each time that we would usually be using our mouths to chew, to use our mouths to pray scripture instead. I'm hoping she joins me. I invite you all to join me too!

Do you fast all day Sharon? And Mary, do you fast one meal or what? This is something I need to explore and pray on... I used to fast at least half a day and go to a special service at church for that purpose every few weeks but since G left the church I have drawn back from that to spend that time with him instead (since it's one of the few times we can both be at home at the same time during the week).

I never fasted before a few weeks ago.. It was when I told tony to not come back, I fasted for 2&1/2 days. I only ate a oatmeal cookie for breakfast & a small salad at night the first day. I drank water & had a veggie/fruit juice the rest of the time. The next day I didn't eat at all, & I ate in the middle of the third day & slowly ate more by the next day.
This time, I'm not eating a thing & only going to drink veggie/fruit juice to curb hunger. On the 4th day I will begin to eat fruits & veggies & slowly work up to eating regularly for 2 days till I'm back to eating normal. I suggest planning it for 3 days where u won't have to do anything extra exousting. & slowly stop eating.. If u stop eating all at once, the hunger will be worse.. Doing it gradually will cause your stomach to shrink making the hunger less intense.

When I fasted, it was just so amazing to me how much more clearly I could hear from the Lord... I felt very close to Him! I even had more energy than usual on the 3rd day for some reason which I feel like it was the connection with God & peace motivating me. I will say that irritability is very very likley, especially during a moment of I hunger.. But just repent & re focus.. It was really easy for me to re focus during my time of fasting.

I will be praying for Annie, Mary see if she will join us on here.
I am starting a 60 day daylight fast from food, will drink juices, and water but no food. I am doing so because of what I feel that God has laid on me and for me to clear my mind and body to lean soley on God so that I may obtain a deeper more intimate relationship with him and truly, completely and fully understand what he is trying to teach me.

I had never fasted until recently either, but my best friend has been telling me for years to do it - that you see God's goodness rapidly when you do. I didn't believe it. But recently, the week I put Chris out, I was fasting for 24 hours, eating a small meal, fasting again for 24 hours for the week. Whenever hunger came I would drink water and honestly the hunger reminded me to press into my prayer. I still can't believe that it only took a week for Chris to recommit to coming towards God. I know he has the desire - I've seen it him before, but never as much as I do now. Fasting really helped me to press into God and He showed me hope so quickly.
